Insurance Assistant Case Manager

St. Louis, MO


An Insurance Assistant Case Manager is an entry level case management position.  Coordinates cases during underwriting with entry level expertise, while providing secondary support to team members

Primary Duties:

  • Coordinate with advisors from beginning to final stages of underwriting
  • Coordinate underwritings with various general agencies, carriers, and products
  • Negotiate offers for best possible outcomes
  • Coordinate incoming/outgoing policies and requirements
  • Shop health issues with multiple carriers for best offers
  • Review APS (Attending Physician Statements)
  • Direct the flow of sales/product questions

Secondary Duties:

  • Process and submit applications
  • Mail forms, applications, and policies
  • Schedule client appointments for medical exams (labs)
  • Order APS (Attending Physician Statements)
  • Handle miscellaneous activities as they arise


  • Must coordinate multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must allow for a flexible work schedule when experiencing high volumes
  • Must be able to work with a team of people to accomplish a common goal
  • Must have outstanding customer service skills
  • Sets goals and strives to obtain them

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years insurance experience
  • Knowledge of insurance products/industry: Required
  • Product Experience (Term, VUL, Individual Disability, Buy/Sell, Overhead Expense)


  • Education level: Associates/Bachelors Degree: Preferred
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have very high training retention and quick learner
  • Must have high attention to detail with good organizational and problem solving skills
  • Must maintain confidentiality of information
  • Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Software

  • $30,000 – $40,000 a year with an aggressive bonus structure.

HOURS: Monday – Friday (8 am – 5 pm)
