Tom Martin, CFP, CPWA, AIF

As a devoted advisor to physicians, Tom has been privileged to conduct financial lectures for some of the top medical departments in the country including those within Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, the Vanderbilt School of Medicine, the University of Michigan Medical School, the Ohio State College of Medicine, the College of Medicine at the University of Florida, and others.

Tom is an alumni of Harvard Business School. He completed further training at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, and Kansas State’s Institute for Personal Financial Planning. While attending Kansas State University, Tom was inducted to the Phi Kappa Phi and Kappa Omicron Nu scholastic honor societies.

Tom is a partner at Larson Financial and currently serves as the Regional Director of our Great Lakes region. He is also actively involved with our investment policy, financial planning, and executive committees. Prior to joining Larson, Tom served as a private wealth advisor for one of the region’s largest independent financial planning firms.

Tom is a co-author of Doctor’s Eyes Only: Exclusive Financial Strategies for Today’s Doctors and Dentists and a co-host of the Doctor’s Eyes Only podcast. He was named to Investment News’ inaugural list of the “Top 40 Advisers Under Age 40.” Investment News also honored him as 1 of 8 industry visionaries who “pull the rest of the profession into the next stratum.” Tom has been quoted in Memphis Medical News and published articles online at CBSNews, Minyanville, and BeyondTheDow. He has also spoken to several professional groups on advanced planning topics for physicians.

Tom is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), a CERTIFIED PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR (CPWA®), a member of the national Financial Planning Association™ (FPA); and the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA). Tom also developed the CFP training curriculum for Taylor University and served as an adjunct professor and member of the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee.

Tom and his wife, Rachel, are very active at both a local and global level serving with various charitable boards and their local church. They are also active in the Larson Financial Foundation’s efforts to empower international communities through sustainable business and sharing hope in places of greatest need. Tom enjoys spending time with his three children: Grace, Jacob and Jackson. In his free time Tom enjoys traveling with his wife, coaching his children’s sports, reading, writing, and college football.
