Defines and documents requirements for applications that support Doctors Only affiliate operations efforts and externally facing services. This role will work closely with Senior Analysts, business owners, managers, and the IT team to define requirements, document systems and business processes, and contribute to QA testing and sign-off. Adds value by uniting the team to focus on project objectives, process improvements, technical innovations, understanding essential details and delivering outcomes.

Essential Functions:

  • Exhibit understanding of financial services business domain and business goals
  • Logically construct and deconstruct processes to ensure good design and business flow without escapes
  • Apply strong facilitation, communication, analytic and conflict management skills
  • Lead user interviews and capture comprehensive, actionable notes
  • Conduct advanced process and data flow analysis; recommend future state business process improvements
  • Clarify any ambiguity in business requirements and process flows to ensure sufficient understanding by the technical team
  • Create UI/application prototypes, wireframes and draft presentations
  • Participate in project estimating activities
  • Manage requirement change requests in relation to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met
  • Provide clarity regarding business objectives and functional requirements during release and sprint iteration planning
  • Meet with developers to deliver and explain requirements and ensure understanding
  • Creating acceptance tests based on acceptance criteria
  • Conducting testing as needed
  • Participate in sprint demos and retrospectives
  • Assist in user training sessions
  • Participate in product launch, training and project closeout activities
  • Produce current state process flow and functional map and design future state process flow and functional map
  • Draw conceptual data diagrams for underlying Salesforce objects

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field; Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or Math, or equivalent industry experience.

Experience:

  • One (1) year as a Business Analyst (Business and Technology projects)
  • One (1) year of application development experience (SDLC)
  • Exposure to Business Process Management (BPM), Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies
  • Exposure to Agile software development methodology preferred
  • Exposure to and understanding of Salesforce.com as a platform and CRM
