Mike Trent strives to help his clients build financial security through a comprehensive approach to financial planning; tailoring strategies that fit the unique needs of residents, fellows and practicing physicians. Mike’s priority is to help his clients with their financial concerns so they can focus more on growing their practices, caring for patients and spending quality time with their families.
Mike earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University, where he received the prestigious Wells Scholarship. After graduation, he served five years in the United States Marine Corps as an intelligence officer. He then went back to school and earned his MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Following his graduate studies, Mike worked as a project engineer and financial analyst for a Fortune 500 manufacturer.
His experiences in the public and private sector have shaped Mike’s perspective on leadership, service and financial practices. He believes that a client relationship should be based, first and foremost, on trust and understanding. From this foundation, Mike seeks to help physicians make financial decisions that are carefully aligned with their short and long-term goals. He holds his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and is a licensed agent of life and health insurance.
When he is not working, Mike enjoy spending time with his wife Jody, a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and their four children Noah, Eli, Naomi and Sam. He is a competitive runner and has run the New York City Marathon two times on behalf of the Pat Tillman Foundation. Mike’s family is actively involved in their local church and enjoy traveling and spending summer weekends at the lake.
